At Algona First Methodist Church, music is an important part of worship and community life. Through singing and playing, our members share their gifts, inspire worship, and deepen their connection to faith.

We offer a variety of choirs for all ages and abilities, each helping to bring our mission of Welcome, Serve, Love to life through music.
The Praise Choir leads worship with contemporary songs and uplifting music. They help create a joyful and energetic atmosphere during services, encouraging the congregation to sing, clap, and engage in worship together. Members of all skill levels are welcome to join and contribute to this vibrant ministry.

The Chancel Choir focuses on traditional hymns and choral music, adding depth and richness to our worship services. Through rehearsals and performances, choir members have the opportunity to grow spiritually while sharing their love of music with the congregation. This group welcomes anyone who enjoys singing and wants to be part of a supportive, musical community.

Our Handbell Choir brings a unique musical element to worship with beautiful, resonant sounds. They perform for special services, holiday events, and other occasions, combining artistry and teamwork to enhance worship. New members are encouraged to join and learn, regardless of previous experience with handbells.
